Companion Voyages began as a proposal in October 2018 to Sasha Burkhanova-Khabadze and Exposed Arts Projects to make an exhibition and events series, with artists and academics from SSEA and the London Science Fiction Research Community, based on a fictional environment developed by Llew Watkins. The environment is the spacecraft L’enfant, part of the ongoing sculpture and novel-writing research project Hinterland Shift, one iteration of which you are invited to explore on this webpage.

Because of the extended project duration, the constellation of people involved has shifted and changed over time.

Crew members past and present include: Sasha Burkhanova-Khabadze, Cailin Burney O’Dowd, Verity Coward, Matthew Drage, Francis Gene-Rowe, Holly Hunter, Rumi Josephs, James Kelly, Lizzy Laurance, Alexander Page, Llew Watkins, Lizzie Watts, Morris Wild, Sing Yun Lee.

We are also grateful for the input of Glyn Morgan and Katie Stone.

The RPosium has been developed by Francis Gene-Rowe in collaboration with Beyond Gender and Utopian Acts.

We are grateful for a HARI small project grant from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Thank you so much to Sasha Burkhanova-Khabadze and Exposed Arts Projects for supporting this project.
